Forward Party Endorses Judge Pat Dugan for Philadelphia District Attorney
Philadelphia, PA – October 14, 2025 – The Forward Party today announced its endorsement of Judge Pat Dugan in the race for Philadelphia District Attorney, backing his commitment to restoring fairness, accountability, and public trust in the city’s justice system.
A lifelong Philadelphian, Army veteran, and former President Judge of the Philadelphia Municipal Court, Pat Dugan has dedicated his career to service – first to his country and then to his city. He created nationally recognized programs like Veterans Court and Eviction Diversion Court, which helped 46,000 families avoid eviction while ensuring landlords received over $300 million in payments. Judge Dugan was also appointed to the newly created Judicial Ethics Advisory Board by the PA Supreme Court.
His record shows a commitment to both accountability and compassion, offering second chances & help to those in need while protecting communities from violent offenders. “Pat Dugan embodies what Forward stands for: commonsense leadership that puts people and communities ahead of party labels,” said Kayla Berube, national political director for the Forward Party.

Running against two-term incumbent Larry Krasner, Dugan has pledged to bring balance back to the DA’s office by prosecuting violent crime while expanding access to restorative justice. His campaign has already earned endorsements from labor organizations across the city, including Teamsters Joint Council 53, IBEW 98, Firefighters and Paramedics Local 22, Sprinklerfitters 692, TWU 234, Steamfitters 420, Plumbers 690, and many others who recognize his dedication to keeping Philadelphia safe and fair.
